Atrox is one of the 3 moons orbiting Atoma Prime. Atrox is the largest of the 3 moons and has a slight red hue to it. The Bastion-Observatory is the moon's notable super-structure and it's said to glint like gold against the red surface.
The three moons are seen in the Hourglass-Stratum's globe centerpiece, concept art, and outside the Mourningstar hub area's windows.
Overview[]
Atrox is an inhabited moon with evidence of industry and a bastion superstructure protecting a vault.
Bastion-Observatory[]
A notable superstructure on the moon is the Bastion-Observatory. Underneath which is a vault containing the heirlooms and ancient relics of Atoma's nobility. The secretive, semi-religious order known as the Carmine Fellowship guards this station installation and are dedicated to the protection of both the Atoman nobles and the treasures belonging to Tertium's ruling class.
Alongside the Bastion's already formidable and well-funded defenses and emplacements, the Bastion-Observatory is further fortified with with psychic wards. The Warders of the Carmine Fellowship maintain the upkeep and bolster these defensive wards.
These psychic wards around the Bastion-Observatory are currently under assault by the Cult of Admonition.
Industry[]
Being a Manufacturer of Atrox axes, at the very least, Atrox orbits the industrial center of the Moebian Domain and could share in some level of industry, if not being an extension of Atoma's manufacturing capabilities. The slight red hue of the planet could speculatively be the result of prolonged industry, like Haxorn's irradiated, red plains.
Atrox Axes[]
There is some degree of production or design of Atrox-Pattern axes on the moon. The Inquisitors of Crucis would see the value of these in small melee skirmishes and would order a large shipment from Atrox for their strike teams. Trivia[]
- The specific name, "atrox," is a Greek word meaning "cruel, harsh, or merciless".
- This could reflect on the Carmine Fellowship, who could easily be imagined as brutally dealing with threats to the ruling class's safety or property, much like the Enforcers, but with more religiosity and dedication to the nobles and their property.
