Factions[]

Scabs[]

The Scabs are the nickname given to the Moebian 6th Regiment, a Traitor Guard once were revered as heroes in Atoma. However, their ongoing battles in the Fringe Wars had led their beliefs to waver and vulnerable to the dark promises of Chaos. Eventually, they uncover a hidden 'truth' and seek to share this with their fellow moebians in the fight against the Imperium. Captain Wolfer serves as their commander who enforces his will through the strict obedience of his soldiers and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants.

Scabs have access to military-issue wargear and are well armed and capable of advanced strategy. A lot of their grunts tend to comprise of infantrymen armed with Lasguns but are less numerous in their presence. They use Ogryns, Trappers and Bomber Specialists as shock troopers.

Dregs[]

The Dregs are the moniker to the cultists and worshippers belonging to the Cult of Admonition. Fanatics and religiously devoted to the worship of the Chaos God Nurgle, the Cult of Admonition have spread their malicious influence throughout the hive city, subjecting mass populace and locals into their creed. A lot of this involve "volunteers" selected to be chosen for one of their many experimentations and mutations, resulting in the culmination of the Pox and the creatures made from their vile concotions.

In combat, the Dregs are scavengers and their hardware of less quality than the Scabs. However, they make up for this by using the Pox in their arsenal, poisoning and weakening their enemies so that they can close in for the kill. They tend to use strength in numbers as well, to compensate for their equipment.

Stagger resistance[]

Heretics have a stagger resistance stat based on the mission difficulty. This value determines whether a heretic is Staggered when hit by a certain attack. Stronger enemies generally have a higher stagger resistance.

Types of Heretic[]

Hordes[]

The weakest type of heretic, often they spawn ambiently, in patrols, and in hordes. Hordes form part of a random encounter and make up a mass majority of huge swarms. Hordes can be extremely overwhelming to novice and inexperienced Strike Teams; Overpowering them with their mass.

Against a skilled team, Hordes are nothing more than cannon fodder and can be kited into killzones. Weapons with AoE or a Psyker's Smite can cut down even huge groups with ease. However, Hordes tend to spawn behind the team, often catching them by surprise.

They are mostly dressed in dirty rags that barely hide the many blisters and sores covering their skin.

They are harder to kill, hit, and stagger than regular fodder units. Elites might be armored, such as Scab Mauler and Scab Gunner, while others like the Dreg Gunner mainly deal high damage. Elites can also form Patrols that roam the mission and can be extremely dangerous. These patrols can sometimes be avoided.

Monstrosities[]

Monstrosities act as bosses; They're tough and extremely dangerous. Each Monstrosity has a unique healthbar and require a distinct strategy to defeat. The Daemonhost is the only passive monstrosity in the game and may be disturbed if fired upon or disturbed. Others may be encountered normally and can catch unsuspecting players by surprise.

They are an 'Unyielding' Type and cannot be staggered and their heavy attacks inflict serious damage. They have enormous health pools along and can even have over shields and have Natural Damage Reduction. Monstrosities are seldom alone, often bringing with them a mix of hordes, elites, and specialists

Captains will regularly summon underlings to assist them.
