Scab Shotgunner[]

An Elite enemy armed with a powerful shotgun. Usually found leading Scab Stalker patrols, they are of little threat at long range but can do large amounts of damage to the player at short range. They will switch to a close combat weapon if forced into melee combat.

Due to their high damage and knockback, they can be difficult to approach. They will not change to melee until a player is at point-blank range, which is quite dangerous at higher difficulties.

The enemy firing cue (flash and audio stinger) are not timed like other shooters. You should not dodge immediately on hearing/seeing the cue but instead immediately after, otherwise you will be shot just after your dodge completes.

Appearance[]

Scab Shotgunners appear as elite Moebian 6th troopers. Their most notable features are their Samurai-like helmet (similar to the Scab Gunner), the three skulls stuck on spikes hung on their back, and their brutal-looking shotgun (which is similar in appearance to the Dreg Shotgunners, only it has a drum magazine). They have bandoliers and drums of shotgun ammunition strapped all over their body, alongside a close combat weapon secured to their hip.
